Executive Bio

Eric S. Penney - Founder & Managing Principal

​

Eric Penney has over 20 years of commercial real estate experience with a proven track record of adding value and for Clients, Landlords, Tenants and Investors.  Eric holds a B.S in Business Administration from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT. In college, he began a successful sales career while founding the competition business club SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) and competing in Division I football for four years.  Early in his career, Eric learned the nuances complexities of lease documents while working for a lease auditing firm.  He then leveraged his experience and client relationships into the world of leasing and brokerage services before joining a large NYC headquartered REIT in 2003.  For the next 16 years Eric worked with the largest and most prominent REITs in the USA.  He held multiple roles in leasing, development and redevelopment while cutting his teeth in small and large markets across the USA.  He executed all types of transactions exceeding 3 million square feet and participated in nearly a thousand deals while creating billions of dollars of value for his firms and clients.

A few of Eric's past lease transactions include: Best Buy, TJX, Ross Dress for Less, LAFitness, Trader Joe's, Aldi, The Fresh Market, Walmart, Ollies, Starbucks,  Arby's, Dollar Tree, and many other tenants of all sizes and industries.  Eric has also completed investment sales, land deals and major shopping center redevelopments throughout the east coast of the USA and ground up projects for several national clients.

In 2019, Eric created ESP Commercial Real Estate. Eric's vast network of relationships, expertise, creativity and ambition to succeed give ESP Commercial the leadership necessary to successfully increase value and returns for his clients in all  commercial real estate transactions.
